India's science and technology landscape has witnessed significant developments over the past 24 hours, marked by major strides in space exploration, indigenous defence capabilities, and a strong push in emerging technologies like quantum computing and AI. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) finalized the design for its ambitious Bharatiya Antariksh Station, while also planning a substantial expansion of its satellite fleet and securing crucial technology transfer for advanced rocket engines from Russia. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) bolstered national security by handing over seven new indigenous technologies to the armed forces and approving 12 new defense projects.
