India has seen significant advancements in science and technology over the past 24-48 hours, with key developments in quantum technology, data protection, and defense capabilities. The nation officially notified the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Rules, 2025, establishing a comprehensive framework for safeguarding digital personal data. In a major stride for indigenous innovation, India unveiled its first high-precision diode laser for quantum communication and computing. Furthermore, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully developed new generation Man-portable Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (MP-AUVs) for naval mine countermeasure missions. Regional initiatives also gained momentum, with Karnataka approving new IT and Space Technology policies aimed at boosting the state's tech ecosystem.
