Meanwhile, the Indian Junior Men's Hockey team faced a defeat in the World Cup semifinals, while the senior men's team started their series against South Africa with a dominant win.

Shooting: Indian Shooters Shine at ISSF World Cup Final 2025

Indian shooters delivered an impressive performance at the ISSF World Cup Final 2025. Simranpreet Kaur Brar clinched a gold medal in the Women's 25m Pistol event. Adding to the nation's tally, Suruchi Singh secured a gold medal in the Women's 10-meter air pistol, setting a new junior world record. Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar earned a silver medal in the men's 50m Rifle 3-Positions event. Anish Bhanwala also contributed with a silver medal in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol, marking his second World Cup Final medal.

Badminton: India Assured Gold at Guwahati Masters

India is guaranteed a gold medal in the Men's Singles category at the Guwahati Masters 2025. This comes after Indian shuttlers Sanskar Saraswat and Mithun Manjunath both advanced to the final, ensuring an all-Indian showdown. Sanskar Saraswat had a straight-games victory over Indonesia's Dendi Triansyah (21-19, 21-19), while Mithun Manjunath defeated compatriot Tushar Suveer (22-20, 21-16) to reach the final. Sanskar Saraswat subsequently clinched the Men's Singles title.

Hockey: Mixed Fortunes for Indian Teams

The Indian Junior Men's Hockey Team faced a tough challenge in the semifinals of the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup 2025 in Chennai, suffering a 5-1 defeat against defending champions Germany. Germany's goals came from Lukas Kossel, Titus Wex, Jonas Gersum, and Ben Hasbach.

In contrast, the Indian senior men's hockey team started their three-match series against South Africa in Cape Town on a strong note, defeating the hosts 5-2 in the first match. Goals for India were scored by Shailanand Lakra, Aditya Lalage, Amit Rohidas, Harmanpreet Singh, and Dilpreet Singh.
