Indian athletes have delivered notable performances across various non-cricket sports in the last 24 hours. Squash star Joshna Chinappa advanced to the semifinals of the HCL Squash Indian Tour 4, while the Indian Junior Women's Hockey team secured a significant victory against Namibia in the FIH Junior World Cup before facing a tough challenge from Germany. Squash

Veteran Indian squash player Joshna Chinappa showcased her prowess by advancing to the semifinals of the HCL Squash Indian Tour 4. Chinappa, a former world No. 10, staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Egyptian second seed Nardine Garas in a thrilling five-game quarterfinal match held at the Indian Squash Academy on Wednesday. She is set to face fellow Indian Tanvi Khanna in the semifinals. In other results, Velavan Senthilkumar and reigning women's National champion Anahat Singh, both top seeds, secured straight-games victories in their respective matches.

Hockey

The Indian Junior Women's Hockey team commenced their FIH Junior World Cup campaign with an emphatic 13-0 win over Namibia in Santiago. However, they later faced a challenging match against Germany, where they went down 1-3. This result means their hopes for quarterfinal qualification will depend on their performance against Ireland and a superior goal difference. Meanwhile, the Indian Junior Men's Hockey team also demonstrated strong form, thrashing Switzerland 5-0 to secure a spot in the FIH Junior World Cup Quarterfinals. Furthermore, the Indian men's hockey team has qualified for the semifinals of the Asian Hockey Championship.
